About NTA UGC NET June 2026 Examination

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have completed or be appearing in a Master’s Degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks. Candidates with a 4-year Bachelor’s Degree are also eligible as per new rules. Applicants are advised to read the official notification carefully before applying.

Age Limit Details

The maximum age limit for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) is 31 years. There is no age limit for Assistant Professor eligibility. Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms.
